What should have been the trip of a lifetime has turned deadly for a Canadian woman.

SHREE - yah Shah had already realized her dream to reach the summit of Mount Everest on the weekend....
but on the descent something went terribly wrong.

Shree-Yah Shaw was packing for the adventure of a life time.
A trip that would eventually kill her.
Born in Nepal, she dreamed of one day climbing Everest.Shaw was one of over a hundred people to reached the summit on Saturday.
She had been practicing for nearly a year with a 20 kilogram back pack.
Friends say Shaw spend her childhood in nepal climbing small mountains ....she was so committed to achieving her dream they say she even mortaged her home
Today those friends gathered to grieve
Shaw was one of three that died on the way down.The traffic to get up the mountain meant a longer than normal wait in an area known as, the death zone. Oxygen there is low. The ground,steep and icy.
It's believed Shaw was suffering from exhaustion and altitude sickness.
